What is Solar Air Conditioning?
Solar air conditioning is a cooling system that utilizes solar energy as its power source. This can be achieved through various methods, including passive solar, solar thermal energy conversion, and photovoltaic conversion (converting sunlight to electricity using PV technology). At NOQQ, all our solar air conditioners utilize solar PV power. As technology advances, solar air conditioning is becoming increasingly prominent in zero-energy and energy-plus building designs.
Solar Hybrid Air Conditioners
Our AC/DC units are available in three main sizes: 12k, 18k, and 24k, and we also offer Pool Heaters in 11k, 15k, and 17k sizes.
These units operate on solar power during the day and automatically switch to grid power at night. In addition to homes, these solar air conditioners are particularly suitable for schools or offices with high daytime energy demands.
The Hybrid solar air conditioner maximizes the use of available solar power directly from the PV modules, even when there is no grid-tied utility power available.
Even when the sun sets, there’s no need to worry, as our highly efficient heat pumps continue to function effectively. Without solar energy, the devices achieve an efficiency level of SEER 23, but with solar power, the efficiency reaches up to SEER 35.
